I've seen these forms on, I think, Clarkson; they're misnamed versions
of the "true" names (bx for b) with the old sail reduction to 6 letters
naming scheme (the first three chars + the last 3 chars).
Karl Berry has put together an improved version of the naming scheme
referred to by Neenie which allows most typefaces to be described in
eight characters or less. It can be a little more oblique in the naming,
but it is functional.
btw, personally I find Pandora useless for my work; no italic
corrections and a rather heavy appearance.
