   -s 'outputtemplate="%j-%c.%o"'

creates code-1.svg directly

mpost -s 'prologues=3"' -s 'outputtemplate="%j-%c.%o"' code.mp

creates code-1.eps which is not only proper EPS, but also
has any used font glyphs embedded.
