[texhax] FW: huge spacing in LaTeX with linespead

What about avoiding the center environment (additional vertical
space!) and use \centering instead?
\begin{figure}[H]
\centering
\includegraphics[scale=0.5]{designExample.png}
\caption{Illustration of the functioning of the program}
\label{desEx}
\end{figure}
