It looks promising, and was so far the only feasible way I found unless I
wanted to buy at least a Mac and probably some other software. I tried
some ttf fonts shipped with MS Windows 3.1, but did not get useful
results out of all of them. Perhaps I didn't use fontinst properly.
For some reason the author has not (yet?) put it onto CTAN.
