Bug reports should go to tex-k@tug.org. Use the -j0 option so that the
font is not subsetted. Let me know if that works. If not, send me (off
list) an archive containing the TTF font, Type 1 font, and all of the files
you used to make the TFMs/VFs and DVI file.

Subject: [omega] [OT] Urgent help needed with dvips

I need urgent help: I have a ttf font (georgian) which I have
to use with (la)tex. I did fontinst latinfamily etc worked
everything, only when I want to make dvips:

[~/georgia] dvips bla
This is dvips(k) 5.86 Copyright 1999 Radical Eye Software (www.radicaleye.com)
' TeX output 2001.06.26:1046' -> bla.ps
<texc.pro><8r.enc><texps.pro>. <acadnusx.pfa> Second number not found in Char string of '/FontName'

What does this mean??? How to come around?

I AM able to view the file if I tell dvips NOT to download
the fontfiles (acadnusx.pfa) and tell ghostscript to use the pfa file
for the fontname. BUt this way I cannot print to a postscript printer!

What I did:

ttf2pt1 --afm -e -ladobestd --all-glyphs acadnusx.ttf
cp acadnusx.afm xacr8a.afm
fontinst ..
	\input fontinst.sty
for i in *.pl ; do pltotf $$i ; done
for i in *.vpl; do vptovf $$i ; done
latex bla.tex
	\fontfamily{pac}\fontsize{24}{32}\selectfont matias
dvips bla.dvi

pacr8r  AcadNusx        "TeXBase1Encoding ReEncodeFont" <8r.enc <acadnusx.pfa

/AcadNusx               (acadnusx.pfa);
(Fontmap.GS) .runlibfile

PLEASE reply by email too!!!

Best wishes
