Travel to Prague for TUG'24

Prague's airport has direct flights from most European hubs, but unfortunately no or limited overseas flights. The airport code is PRG and its name is Prague Václav Havel Airport. The airport is about 45 minutes by public transport from downtown.

There are also direct train connections from other European destinations like Vienna, Dresden, Berlin, Munchen, Warszawa, Budapest, …

Travel from/to airport by taxi

• Official airport taxi is UberAirport (use the app or stalls in the halls).
• A journey downtown is about CZK 500–700.
• Taxis on Terminal 1 stop in front of arrivals, taxis on Terminal 2 usually stop in front of the departures hall (one floor up from the arrivals hall) – check what the app says.

Travel from/to airport by public transport

• From the airport, take bus 59 to Nadraží Veleslavín (end stop). It stops in front of both arrival halls for T1 and T2.
• From Nádraží Veleslavín, take Metro (underground) line A (green colour) to Hradčanská (3 stops).
• Take exit E3 and then Tram 8 to Bilá Labuť (8 stops).
• The tram stops directly in front of Grandior.
• On the way to the airport, make sure which terminal your flights are from. Typically T2 hosts Schengen flights, and T1 hosts non-Schengen flights.
• The journey takes about 45 minutes. Allow extra time for traffic jams on your way to the airport.

Travel from the main railway station (Hlavní Nádraží)

• Take Metro C (red line) in the direction Letňany to Florenc (1 stop).
• Take Exit E1 and go to the tram stop on the opposite side of the road (so heading to the left from your view). Take Tram 8 or 29 to Bilá Labuť (1 stop). Alternatively, it’s just a 300m walk from the metro station along the tram line.
• The tram stops across the road from Grandior.
• It’s also a walkable distance of about 1.2km. If you use a map app, make sure the path is leading you north-east, and not directly north as that would be the freeway that doesn’t have any sidewalks.
